You may already know that Florida is the cruising capitol of the United States.
You may also know that Carnival Cruise Line sails from most U.S. homeports, making it easier for people all over the United States who wish to cruise.
Currently, Carnival is the only cruise line what offers inclusive cruises from Jacksonville.
Carnival currently offers cruise itineraries from Jacksonville to the Bahamas.
These itineraries can be in just about any month of the year, which makes it easy to plan your cruise from Jacksonville.
There are two (2) itineraries from which to choose:
1. There is a 4-day cruise which will generally get you to Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas.
2. There is also a 5-day itinerary from Jacksonville which generally gets your family to Nassau and Half Moon Cay - a private Bahamian island resort.

The Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located just about nine (9) miles from JAXPORT, so getting to the cruise terminal should be a breeze.
The easiest and fastest way to get to the port is by taxi.
Gator City Taxi is the official taxi company serving Jacksonville International Airport. Service is available at the entrance to JIA, or you may call Gator City Taxi at (904) 741-0008 or (904) 355-8294.

If you are driving to the cruise terminal in Jacksonville, the address is:

If you drive to the park, then you must pay for parking.
Parking is $15 per day per vehicle - $60 for a 4-day cruise and $75 for a 5-day sailing.
Oversized vehicles are subject to a $30 per day rate. (Note that all rates listed are subject to change.
The lot is lighted, fenced and patrolled by 24 hours by JAXPORT security.
It is great to know also that the lot is next to the cruise terminal and is only a short walk.
JAXPORT provides special assistance for disabled guests.
Note that in addition to parking at the Jacksonville cruise terminal, there is alternative parking near the terminal.
Choosing to park a short distance from the port will save you some money. Generally, you will be able to leave your vehicle and ride a complimentary shuttle to the port.
