Cruise Pack Mission To Falmouth, Jamaica

In February of this year, I had the tremendous honor of leading a group of relatives, friends and newly found acquaintances on another in the series of cruise pack missions.

Our mission took us to an elementary school in Falmouth, Jamaica and by all accounts it was very successful.

Cruise Industry News

Here are two of several things happening in the cruise industry:

1. Norwegian Adds More Cuba Cruises

Norwegian Cruise Line, which had previously announced a lineup of cruises from Miami to Cuba through December 2017, has now added new sailings for 2018.

Norwegian Sky will offer roundtrip sailings from Miami to Havana and will include an overnight stay in that city. The sailings will also include a call at Norwegian's private Bahamian island, Great Stirrup Cay.

You may book Norwegian Cuba cruises for 2018, as of April 20. Check with your travel consultant.

2. Royal Caribbean To Feature Lifeguards Onboard

This is certainly great news for parents or guardians traveling with children. Royal Caribbean will join Disney Cruise Line and add lifeguards onboard its ships.

Royal Caribbean began this vital service aboard Oasis of the Seas in February of this year and plans to make it available on all ships by June 2017.

The lifeguards will wear distinctive red and white uniforms and will have no other role on the ship.

Yippee!

Plan A Group Cruise

A group cruise is generally comprised of at least 8 cabins (number varies by cruise lines), each with 2 or more passengers.

Group Cruise Ideas: graduation celebration, retirement celebration, family reunions, employee appreciation, club or organization fundraiser, girlfriends' getaway, couples' retreat, church outing, wedding, etc.

Reasons for Planning a Group Cruise:

Cruising with a group is much more fun than cruising alone. I have done both and really prefer sailing with a group. Furthermore, there are perks to be had when cruising as a group.

Plan your group cruise today. Learn more about group cruises here.

Cruise Saving Tip

Here is something everyone loves - learning how to save a buck or two on their cruise ship vacation.

Tip: Try A Smaller Ship

As cruise lines continue to amaze us with bigger ships, it is admittedly difficult to sail on smaller and older ships.

The good news about some of these older and smaller ships is that they are being renovated, and they tend to offer cruise packages at lower prices.

If you are looking for a more intimate setting and fewer people onboard, consider sailing on a smaller cruise ship.

What's more is that you could save some money by doing this.

Contact your travel professional for assistance finding cruises on smaller vessels.

Happy saving!
