Planning A Family Cruise Vacation

This is not really a new page on the website. However as summer approaches and families are busy thinking about the next vacation, I believe this page is a must read for those planning a family cruise getaway.

Learn some key factors to consider, when planning your family cruise vacation.

I encourage you to read more about this by clicking here.

Cruise Industry News

Here are two of several things happening in the cruise industry:

1. Carnival's Newest Ship, Vista, Is Here

Carnival Cruise Line has now taken delivery of its newest and biggest ship, Carnival Vista. The Vista comes with new features such as the first IMAX theater at sea and a suspended cycling attraction called SkyRide.

Carnival Vista will spend its earliest days (this summer) in Europe. From there, she will cross the Atlantic Ocean for limited sailings out of New York, before moving to her homeport of Miami this fall.

Plan to be among the first Americans to sail on the Vista. Ask about Carnival Vista's itineraries from Miami starting in late November.

2. Royal Caribbean's Overnight Shore Excursions

For cruise guests who would like to spend more time in a port of call, Royal Caribbean International has introduced overnight shore excursions on a limited basis.

These excursions allow guests to leave the ship in one port and rejoin it at the next one. Included in the excursion package are things such as fully guided tours, dining, airfare (if required), hotel accommodations and transportation.

Currently, these overnight excursions by Royal Caribbean are available in Greece, Bangkok and Tikal, Guatemala.

Note: For those of you who may be interested in longer cruises and longer stays in ports of call, you may also consider Azamara Club Cruises.

Plan A Group Cruise

A group cruise is generally comprised of at least 8 cabins (number varies by cruise lines), each with 2 or more passengers.

Group Cruise Ideas: graduation celebration, retirement celebration, family reunions, employee appreciation, club or organization fundraiser, girlfriends' getaway, couples' retreat, church outing, wedding, etc.

Reasons for Planning a Group Cruise:

Cruising with a group is much more fun than cruising alone. I have done both and really prefer sailing with a group. Furthermore, there are perks to be had when cruising as a group.

Plan your group cruise today. Learn more about group cruises here.

Cruise Saving Tip

Here is something everyone loves - learning how to save a buck or two on their cruise ship vacation.

Tip: Sail With Carnival Cruise Line

If you really want to spend less money on a cruise ship vacation, then plan to sail with Carnival Cruise Line.

The truth is that when compared to all the other cruise lines, Carnival is more often than not the least expensive option.

Does Carnival cater to your age group? Certainly!

Carnival cruises are geared towards family members of all ages. There is something onboard for everyone to do.

Note: If you want a party atmosphere and will not care about the abundance of activities, plan to sail during the holidays or school breaks. If you want a more relaxed atmosphere, plan to sail during the off season whenever the kids are in school.

Whenever you choose to sail with Carnival Cruise Line, you will spend less money than you would on another cruise line.

Happy saving!
