Cruise Industry News

Here are two of several things happening in the cruise industry:

1. Tiffany's Comes to Oasis of the Seas

Tiffany & Co is a well-known, global jewelry company and now it is going to sea. Royal Caribbean's big ship, the Oasis of the Seas, will begin to feature Tiffany's popularly luxury products.

The jewelry store will be located in the Central Park area of the ship and will offer a full selection of Tiffany's products including engagement rings, and even the recently introduced Tiffany T and Atlas collections.

Oasis, which currently sails out of Ft. Lauderdale, will be moving to Port Canaveral in 2016.

2. Norwegian Escape Adds New Charges

It took only a few sailings before Norwegian Cruise Line converted its Jimmy Buffet-themed restaurant to a la carte pricing.

Margaritaville at Sea started out as a complimentary restaurant, but has been so popular that this has changed. Beginning with the November 28th sailing, the eatery now charges for its offerings.

In fact, over the last month, many of Norwegian's specialty restaurants have moved to a la carte pricing.

Plan A Group Cruise

A group cruise is generally comprised of at least 8 cabins (number varies by cruise lines), each with 2 or more passengers.

Group Cruise Ideas: graduation celebration, retirement celebration, family reunions, employee appreciation, club or organization fundraiser, girlfriends' getaway, couples' retreat, church outing, wedding, etc.

Reasons for Planning a Group Cruise:

Cruising with a group is much more fun than cruising alone. I have done both and really prefer sailing with a group. Furthermore, there are perks to be had when cruising as a group.

Plan your group cruise today. Learn more about group cruises here.

Cruise Saving Tip

Here is something everyone loves - learning how to save a buck or two on their cruise ship vacation.

Tip: Use A Travel Consultant

What many travelers do not know is that whenever they book a cruise online, they do not get all the available price options. However, whenever they use a travel consultant they do.

A travel consultant will take all factors into consideration, when booking your family vacation. The consultant's aim is to ensure that you get the best cruise rate.

Whenever you are booking a cruise, there are several things which may result in a discounted cruise rate. These include your state of residence, your age, military service, etc. Your travel consultant knows all the corners and will ensure that you get the best cruise deal.

Use a travel consultant to book your next family cruise getaway and save.

Happy saving!
