Cruise Pack Mission Cozumel - Ciudad de Angeles

We recently completed our Cruise Pack Mission to Cozumel.

In all, twenty-two of us delivered more than 22 backpacks with needed supplies to the Ciudad de Angeles orphanage in Cozumel.

Cruise Industry News

Here are two of several things happening in the cruise industry:

1. Disney Cruise Line To Add New Ships

For those of you who sailed or attempted to sail with Disney, you might have encountered availability issues and most certainly were hit with high prices.

This is because Disney only has four ships and the demand for their product is high.

In an effort to accommodate more people, Disney Cruise Line recently announced plans to add two (2) new ships in 2021 and 2023.

Look out for more information on these new vessels

2. Norwegian Increases Beverage and Specialty Dining Prices

Many of you may be aware that just about every cruise line offers beverage packages. Some also offer specialty dining packages.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers both.

Beginning on February 26th, NCL increased the rates for its beverage and specialty dining packages. For example, the Ultimate Drink Package now costs $79 per-person per-day.

Plan A Group Cruise

A group cruise is generally comprised of at least 8 cabins (number varies by cruise lines), each with 2 or more passengers.

Group Cruise Ideas: graduation celebration, retirement celebration, family reunions, employee appreciation, club or organization fundraiser, girlfriends' getaway, couples' retreat, church outing, wedding, etc.

Reasons for Planning a Group Cruise:

Cruising with a group is much more fun than cruising alone. I have done both and really prefer sailing with a group. Furthermore, there are perks to be had when cruising as a group.

Plan your group cruise today. Learn more about group cruises here.

Upcoming Group Cruise Opportunities

1. Cruise Pack Mission to Jamaica

On this cruise, each guest is asked to bring a backpack with supplies for needy children in the Hague Primary School in Falmouth, Jamaica.

Petes Travel Center will provide the backpacks and guests are asked to volunteer to add the supplies.

2. Labor Day Bahamas Getaway

What a great time to get away from it all - Labor Day!

What a great way to spend this holiday with family and friends!

Cruise Saving Tip

Here is something everyone loves - learning how to save a buck or two on their cruise ship vacation.

Tip: Bring Your Own Soda Aboard Ship

If you are among those who must have soda, there is a great way to cut your cost onboard a Carnival cruise.

Carnival Cruise Line allows each guest to bring one 12 pack of 12 ounce can soda onboard their ships (keep it in your hand luggage).

Bring your own soda and avoid spending too much for that beverage onboard. You will save some money.

Happy saving!
